Fruska gora and Sremski Karlovci with wine tasting



On the way to Sremski Karlovci, we will pass by Fruska Gora National park and visit one of the oldest monasteries here –Krusedol monastery. After, we will proceed to visit a small baroque town of Sremski Karlovci. There we will visit we will visit The First Serbian Grammar School, the Chapel of Peace and the Treasury of Patriarchal Palace. Wine and grape from the nearby vineyard on the brows of the Fruska Gora Mountain, are highlights of this town. Considering this we will visit to the Museum of Beekeeping and 300-year-old wine cellar of the family Zivanovic where the finest wines from Karlovci, such as Bermet, Ausbruh and Riesling, were made and nourished in its cellars and served at the royal courts, even on a famous ship Titanic! Here, the guests get the information on the development of vine growing and wine production in this region. The visit includes tasting five to seven sorts of wines (Riesling, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Probus, as well as, local Karlovci’s sorts of wines – Red and White Bermet), honey brandy and, at least, two sorts of honey.All this is followed by a traditional Vojvodina specialties such as homemade bread, cheese and ham.
