NOVI SAD AND PALIC LAKE


Today we will visit north part of Serbia and the most important locations of Vojvodina plain. First we will visit Novi Sad – the capitol of Vojvodina and the second largest city in Serbia. The city is located on the banks of the Danube River, facing the northern slopes of Fruška Gora Mountain. It is established in 17th century. Novi Sad is the city of monuments.

We will visit the wonderful Petrovaradin Fortress – the symbol of the city, Liberty Square, City Center, beautiful streets and parks. People from Novi Sad are easy-going and they all have one special philosophy of eating, drinking and living in the slow lane. Afterwards we continue to Majkin Salaš to have lunch. Salaš (farmstead) is the perfect places to visit in Vojvodina. They are located on a property outside of a village and usually include a house and accessory buildings, stables, sheds etc. Majkin Salaš is one of the most popular near Palić Lake. Here we will taste delicious homemade food and enjoy in traditional surroundings. After lunch we will walk down the banks of Palić Lake – the unique natural environment. In the evening we will go back to Belgrade. Overnight in Belgrade
