SMEDEREVO AND OPLENAC

Smederevo is a city and municipality in Serbia, on the right bank of the Danube. Only a few Serbian towns were built like Smederevo was. Contrary to the towns which arose from the villages and other settlements, the Despot Đurađ Branković built Smederevo with the intention to be the capital of Serbia. In Smederevo we will visit Smederevo Fortress and Town Museum. Afterwards we will continue to Oplenac. On the way we will have free time for lunch or we will visit local wine cellar for wine tasting and lunch. Oplenac is the centar of the Serbian Royal Family. This complex is consisted of the endowment of King Petar I which contains the church of St. Đorđe, King Petar’s house, new opened Gallery (The house of vinogradar) and Karađorđe’s fortified town. All this represents the unique monument of the cultural-historical heritage of the Serbian people. Overnight in hotel in Belgrade
