YUGO-NOSTALGY TOUR BELGRADE, SERBIA (4 nights/5 days)


Day 1: BELGRADE AIRPORT- HOTEL
Arrival to Belgrade and transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 2: BELGRADE MUSEUM VISIT
After breakfast go for Belgrade city tour. Belgrade is the city to enjoy and the city of much diversity. It proudly lies on the confluence of its most famous rivers - The Danube River and The Sava River. The capital of Serbia is also favorite place for young people, always ready to discover something new and unique. This is a place where you can find traces of history, very rich cultural life and the sign of the future time. Get to know Belgrade in the best possible way because Belgrade waits for you to show you its spirit. We will have a chance to meet Belgrade in all its beauty.On our way to the City Center, we will stop to visit Tito’s memorial center so called Flower house. After, we will stroll to the one of the biggest Orthodox Church on Balkan - Saint Sava Temple. It represents the most monumental building in the city. Afterwards, our tour continues towards Dedinje, Royal Palace, New Belgrade municipality, The Republic square and the most important Belgrade symbols - mighty Belgrade Fortress, Kalemegdan Park, Victor Monument and beautiful confluence of the two rivers that spreads from the top of the Belgrade Fortress. We will walk through the main street in Belgrade –Knez Mihajlova Street, the place for shopping and enjoy Belgrade everyday life on The Republic Square. After lunch at local restaurant, we will visit two museums: the Museum of Nikola Tesla and Ivo Andric Museum. Both of them were important persons and left such a strong impact on Serbian history. Overnight at hotel in Belgrade.

Day 3: BLUE TRAIN VISIT AND LUNCH WITH TITO’S GRANDAUGHTER - DANUBE RIVER CRUISE
Visit Blue train, Tito's Blue Train is a luxury train, once used by Josip Broz Tito, while president of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. It is now operated as a tourist attraction. There, we will have a special meeting with Tito's granddaughter as well as lunch on the train, where we will eat with Tito’s cutlery and from plates he used to eat from. That would be a unique experience. Afternoon is reserved for the river Danube cruise. You will have a chance to explore Belgrade from totally different perspective. After the cruise, we will stop for refreshment at cafe SFRJ, which interior has elements connected to ex -Yugoslavia!
Dinner and overnight will be at hotel.

Day 4: BELGRADE – AVALA MOUNTAIN WITH “RAKIJA” TASTING - BELGRADE
In the morning, we will departure to Avala mountain where Avala Tower and the Monument of Unknown Hero are situated, at only 20 minutes ride from Belgrade. It is currently the tallest structure in Serbia and in the Balkan region. It represents real pride of Belgraders. It was destroyed in NATO bombardment of Serbia on the 29th of April 1999. On the 21st December 2006, the reconstruction of Avala Tower commenced and the tower was officially opened on 21 April 2010. Now, it is Belgrade’s significant symbol. From the Avala Tower you will be amazed by the view that spreads all around central Serbia. This imposant building is also a viewpoint, so you will see whole Belgrade. After Avala, we will proceed to destilery Quburich where you will hear the story of producing but also have a chance to taste the original serbian brandy so called „rakija“ ( few of them actually !)
After lunch, we will proceed to sightseeing of Belgrade underground. It is on Kalemegdan fortress and represents an unusual experience. Underground tells the legend about Belgrade from Roman, Austrian, Turkish and Serbian period. Every one of these époques carries authentic charm.
Dinner will be at local restaurant with folklore performance. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5: TRANSFER TO BELGRADE AIRPORT
In the morning depart to Belgrade airport and on the way, visit Aviation museum.
Goodbye Belgrade.
